Savanna Troupe grew up in a low-income, non-college educated, single parent family with 8 siblings. Being considered an “at-risk” student in the education system, she credits her teachers for inspiring her to follow her dreams of attaining a college education.

 

Now, as a first generation college graduate, Savanna’s goal as Miss Arizona United States is to empower other Arizona students by creating opportunities for success in higher education. Since 2004, she has worked with various organizations whose work focuses on dropout prevention, academic preparation, and promoting post secondary options. She focuses her efforts toward students who otherwise might not have the encouragement, know-how, or means to pursue their goals in higher education.

 

Savanna’s passionate dedication to her platform since 2004 encouraged her to pursue a job in education. In 2008, she attained her Bachelors in Education with an emphasis in middle grades mathematics from Arizona State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. For fours years, Savanna has taught 8th grade math with the intentions of pursuing her Masters in Educational Leadership this coming fall. In addition to education, Savanna has become passionate about the health and fitness industry. Her and her boyfriend have successfully started Will-Powered LLC, a company devoted to happy and healthy lifestyles. Savanna also teaches a fitness class and, in her free time, she enjoys doing outdoor activities like snowboarding, biking, and hiking.
